For 20+ years our Knights of Columbus Council 8182 has partnered with Home Works of America which is a Christ centered organization providing no cost home repairs to qualified low-income homeowners. Their Mission is to show God's love through serving those in need. The actual work is performed by volunteer adults and by teens thus assisting in youth development and empowering communities. Recently, Home Works Crews were in the Mauldin, SC area and Council 8182 provided lunches to the work crew volunteers and home owners at their work sites on two consecutive days. On the first day, Council volunteers made their lunches and on the second day Chick Fil A donated lunches for everyone and which was a big hit with the teen aged volunteers. This is a service of love for Council 8182 to support those who are volunteering their time and talents to serve the most needy people in our area. It is in giving that you receive, and each of us were truly blessed to be of service to these Home Work Crews.
