The "Heart Ridge Retreat and Cultural Center" is a full service retreat center owned and operated by Keith & Tami Kiser who built it based upon their Catholic Christian values and their Mission is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and His divine mercy. Through Catholic Hospitality, they strive to help people renew, create and connect and prayerfully to ultimately encounter God. They coordinate Catholic and Cultural events and rent their property to all groups large or small. Heart Ridge is located in the mountains at Sunset, SC and is incredibly beautiful and inviting with its pastoral back-to-nature setting.
Hurricane Helene did significant damage to the property with numerous trees blown over and limbs and debris strewn everywhere. Help was needed to clean up Helene's damage at Heart Ridge and Council 8182 played a significant role in the clean up. Several Council 8182 members with chain saws along with heavy equipment and a log splitter worked two consecutive weekends and helped clean up Helene's mess. Thus, Council 8182 Brothers through the unselfish donation of their time, talents and equipment helped remove from the Heart Ridge Retreat Helene's damaged trees and debris. They were blessed to have this opportunity to help others in their time of need.
